About

Amy Richards is a Holistic Wellness Coach and Equestrian Consultant with Natural Holistic Essential Oils Certification. She decided to embark upon Wellness Services when her horse, Destiny, became neurologically ill and she was able to help him recover from several life threatening challenges. In the process of gaining knowledge about health she was also able to reduce her own musculoskeletal joint pain and numerous fatigue symptoms. She teaches lessons and seminars at Bridleheart Equestrian or can travel to other facilities for horse owners. Her wellness sessions continue to produce amazing results.

Classical Dressage, Jumping & Cross Country Lessons

People often ask me what Dressage is.  In basic terms it's a French word that means "training".  Then I get asked what Classical Dressage is.  Classical Dressage is a "classic" method of riding and training that helps the horse be relaxed and use their bodies to maximize efficiency and comfort.  It allows a student to progress at their own pace, develop core strength, retain skills and understand the reasons for what they are doing and how it affects their horse.  Dressage can be integrated into Jumping or other disciplines for keeping horses pain-free.

Horsemanship & Stable Management

It is very important to me that anyone I teach has knowledge of basic horse care and health.  I sleep better knowing that everyone I teach has common sense enough to see if a horse is suffering.  A blue ribbon is a tangible reward for well deserved achievement, but never at the expense of the animal that helped you get it.

Over the years I've changed the way I do things mostly out of frugality!  Horses can be expensive...but totally worth it.  I share time saving tips and money saving ideas but the biggest change has been researching healthier options for me and for my horses.  We are all happier now.
